acupuncture is an ancient medicine rooted in the daoist understanding that the body is inseparable from the rhythms of the natural world. just as the seasons shift, water flows, and the moon waxes and wanes, our bodies are constantly moving, adapting, and seeking balance. rather than treating symptoms in isolation, acupuncture looks at the whole pattern—what is moving, what is stuck, what is depleted, and what is asking for attention. through the gentle placement of fine needles along the body’s energetic pathways, treatment supports the movement of qi and blood and creates space for the body’s own processes of regulation, repair, and renewal. for me, acupuncture is a practice of listening and returning: to the body, to breath, to rhythm, and to the possibility of moving through the world with greater ease.

it depends on what we are treating. acute concerns generally take less time to resolve than chronic concerns. a typical first course of treatment is either two treatments a week for two weeks and then weekly from there or one treatment a week for a month. we will discuss your concern and i will make a course of treatment protocol at that time.
